The DMK 21AF04.AS camera, for example, features a 1/4-inch Sony® CCD chip with a 640-by-480 array of 5.6 μm pixels capable of recording up to 60 uncompressed frames per second.

Other monochrome cameras are available with higher resolutions and larger CCD chips.
